Ahh... finally I'm getting what you are saying.
First, let me share a couple tips on how to post on an internet forum (structure and content related). 1.) Be Brief.. When using an internet message board, remember to be brief. Say things as simply and shortly as you can. Be sure to include enough info to ask a question or make a valid comment, but don't over talk things. You clearly have a tendancy to express your train of thought in your posts. Just slow down and boil down your post to a few short sentances needed to ask your question or share your info.
2.) Use more paragraphs than you normally would. People always rush through what they read on the internet. You could have the same number of posts in two different messages... the one that is spaced out and seperated into more paragraphs will be read by more people.

I will be having one major set of questions that will help me with my future purchase next weekend when it starts.
Summary: If I know why others answer others posts or not, then the likely hood of me making the mistake of asking a repeated questions is less.
Now... let me address your question. Of all the typing you did this morning.. you could have ditched all the rest and just wrote the part that I quoted above....
You are asking... Why do peope flame? and How can I avoid asking questions that will lead people to flame me?
People flame others for a variety of reasons. Some do it to feel better about themselves (you can't control that). Some do it to be funny (make jokes to amuse themselves and make others laugh). Some people flame because they are annoyed with a repetitive question (you can avoid this by reading my tips below). Some people flame to put others in their place (some members come across as being arrogant...).
Here is another set of tips for avoiding flaming.. 1.) Always search the topic before you post. If you are unable to find your answer by searching, or are still confused about the topic, then feel free to ask the question in a new post. 2.) When you begin that new post... always start with a respectful (almost apologetic) attitude... "sorry guys, I'm sure this has been covered, and I searched for it, but just couldn't find what I needed. Can anyone help me?"3.) Admit that you are a newb! Like Kamin said above... don't take the internet seriously.. So many people think they need to impress everyone else... so they get this attitude about being super smart and knowledgable.. That's all BS. Admit that you don't know and need help. "hey guys.. I'm a noob, but I'm trying to learn more about this.. Would any of you experts mind sharing some of your knowledge with me?"
Anyhow AT.. Welcome to NICO! I can tell already that you are going to be a great addition to the club. Enjoy the forums! Good luck with your RB project! Let us know if we can help with anything.
