rb dash harness

ok, so after looking around through the wiring and seeing that its correct, i turned the car on and unplug my dash harness, got the electric tester and started poking each wire and the rb dash harness isnt getting any power so i need help, my cluster works and i guess my ecu does too cause its turning my car on and eveything is working, i also noticed while reading how to connect the dash harness that theres supposed to be a ground im missing that one could that be my problem? also were on the rb dash plug is the black (ground) wire , i have speed,tach,water,ac,and ign but im missing a ground can someone hlp.thanks in advance.

you dont need the rb dash harness.

i know, i cut the rb plug from ecu and wired it to the KA plug and wired the speed,tach,ac,ign, but it also says i gots to connect the ground i dont have a ground can someone tell me which wires u have connected on ur rb dash plug.

I'm a little confused, I think your question is sorta unclear. It helps if you let us know which RB and which car you are talking about.But i think i see what your are trying to say. You say you have ground wires that you didn't put back into your harness? If thats the case, I recently found out that you have to take them and ground them to the car (splicing them together makes it easier). i got an 90 s13 with an rb20, the rb harness that hooks up to the dash from the ecu i chopped it and connected the KA clip, and connected that to the s13 dash,i hooked up the speed , ign , etc.well it says in the wiring guide that theres a ground well i didnt hook that up, my rb plug doesnt have a black wire, heres the guide i got it from thanks rbsileighty

here is the dashYellow / Red stripe Tachometer signal

Yellow / Green stripe Speedometer signal Orange Ignition start Black Ground

Blue / Green stripe AC signal

Blue / Black stripe Water temp signal

u see i got watertemp ,ac signal,speedometer signal,ignition start,tachometer hooked up but it also talks about a ground thats what im missing can some one check there dash harness and check for a ground purtyplease it will be much appreciated lmk.

I wish I could help you further, but I have an RB25 in an S14 and no real knowledge of RB20's and thier pinouts. I wish you luck!
