Does anyone know if the RB26DETT camshafts will interchange with the RB20DET? I've heard that they will, but wanted some other opinions to make sure. I looked up aftermarket cams for both motors and they're usually listed under the same number, so I guess they're interchangleable. I'd appreciate any help!

You'd be better off just getting aftermarket cams if you're wanting new ones... or find another pair of rb20 cams... reason being... rb26 cams use solid lifters... rb25 and rb20 cams use hydro lifters... also... the rb20 CAS most likely wouldn't fit into the exhaust cam of the rb26... nissan thought it would be cool to change the key pattern with the different models... i know rb25 series I and series II are NOT interchangeablegood luck

Look for Cefiro RB20 cams, they are (according to Meggala) lumpier than the 26 cams and are a bolt in exchange.

i think it was the laurel cams that had the more agressive profile.the ceffiro (a31 chassis) had the same rb20det as the r32, the laurel had the same engine but crappier ecu so to make up for it they ran slightly more agressive cams.kinda simmilar to the 91-93 dohc ka's vs the s14 ka's.

I was wondering if there is any benefit to using the RB20DE cams in the RB20DET. I've heard that the cams have a different lobe center.

That's not really what I was asking about.

I have a cefiro engine, the cams are 240/240 whereas a normal GTS-T RB20 have 232/232 cams.
