RB alternator plug?

so what does this do?

dont think it was previously plugged in before. its the 2 wire plug on the alternator. was under the impression it was the regulator. but i think i wired it up wrong now because my stuff was getting 2volts on off.

so looking for any info on it, what it does, where does it go?

the 2 wire plug supplys the car charging system with power and the small wire triggers the idiot light...least thats what the manual says.
