rb a/c

before you flame me... i have searched around and have been going through the RB forum for over an hour now trying to find the answer to my question: what do i need to have a/c on my rb20? can i use the old a/c compressor from the ka, or do i need the rb compressor? also the wiring from the existing climate controls. i know that Carl H does wiring, and says that he can wire the a/c in, i'm just trying to find out how to do it... my car will be my daily driver, and i would like to have some comforts

BEST way is make a custom bracket to mount the ka pump to the rb.

last i checked, a 4 cyl motor is quite a bit shorter than a 6, thus requiring a custom line.

i have a RB AC compressor for sale if u like that will bolt to the motors braket

otherwise you need 1 custom line and everything else bolts up from the KA. u need to do some very minor wiring as well

i had to get 2 custom lines to run with the rb compressor, i have a pump need to get it rebuilt.

My KA24E compressor bolted to the RB bracket, pulley aligned, the RB compressor looks very similar to the Z32 compressor I replaced on my Z. The RB compressor is physically larger. Anyways.... with the longer engine I need to have the line that comes from the firewall lengthened about 400mm, to reuse the KA compressor.
