RB 26 Transmission mounting to a RB25 Engine?

Does the RB26 transmission mount to an RB 25 engine without much or issue. And if so, what will I need to get it all set up correctly. This is for 1997 RS4 Stagea.

Not sure but guys who do rb26 swaps use the rb25 Trannys. So I would assume that the bell housing pattern is the same. I believe the clutch is a pull style on the 26 though or that might just be the newer one's

if its a RS4 stagea it could very well have the NEO RB25...and if thats the case its the same pull style clutch as the RB26 anyways...

I know somebody on one of my other forums (mostly US military in Japan) who put a RB26 transmission into his RB25 Neo (turbo of course), but dude kept it rwd for drifting Kinda a weird dude, but anyways I know if can be done.

It should bolt up with out any problem, the bell housing on the RB25 trans and the RB26 trans are the same.

is your stagea awd?? if not then the rb26 trans unless converted to rwd is not worth it.

the 26 bell housing and 25 bell housings are the same, to convert your 26 transmission to rwd is remove the transfer case and cut the hump out n weld it shut. the clutch is pull instead of push tho
