well i was a complete moron when installing my twin plate clutch and used the stock release sleeve and bearing, which gave out before i could even drive my car off my street. So with new parts ordered we dropped the transmission but didnt think to check for any more damage. So we have the new parts in hand and are going to attempt to put everything back together when i realize the fork is ****ed from the release bearing. So after a bit of thinking one of my friends remembers that the one in his 280zx looks similar so off we go looking for his spare transmission. Here are the results of our mission
old fork, even bent the tip of it, you can see it more in the side by side pics
comparing the two
with the new release sleeve set in place but not clipped in
and the old bearing just incase anyone has the bright idea to use stock components with a twin plate clutch
