Hello, everyone. I'm new here and I'm sorry if I should be posting this in the VQ Engine forum, feel free to move it there.

I currently own a 2002 Maxima and several other members from maxima.org forums have been reporting rattling problems under the hoods like me. The rattling only occurs when the engine is working between 1600-2100 rpm at any speed. I'm wondering if NICO members are experiencing the same problem and if there is a known fix for this issue?

I recently switched from Chevron 92 octane to 76 and the rattling has gone away mostly but it still does rattle sometimes.

Hey, I wonder if this problem is isolated only to Maxima's VQ35 only or other cars (g35, 350z, altima) are having this problem as well???

I hate the fact that, the link you will open will link you to maxima.org, but maxorgy is probably correct in what they say about the timing chain issue. DAMNIT
