Wassup people,
I have a sub in my trunk and I am hearing the stock speaker vibrate. The stock speaker was never disconnected. I don't think it is shorted out or anything. I think it's just that when the bass hits from the sub, it rattles the speaker. My question is, what can I do to eliminate or lessen the rattle ? Anything short of taking it out. Thank you

Just pull it out. Maybe an hour job at most.
Remove back seat.
Remove C pillar trim.
Pull out rear deck cover (just snaps in place aside from the two plastic plugs above the pass through).
Take out the 4 10 mm bolts, pull sub out.

While you have it out, dynamat the rear parcel shelf to prevent future rattles.

Is there anything I can do short of pulling it out ? Like putting something between the speaker n what it's held in ?

It'll be the same amount if not more work to try and "quieten" it. Fix it once, remove it.

I had mine removed when my sub was installed. You may or may not notice a little more sound from the trunk into the cabin. Also, while you have the rear deck apart it would be a good ideal to add some sound deadener.

Sounds good. I may have to look into this. That rattle is becoming more and more annoying
