Hey guys, yesterday I bled the clutch system. Then I started the car to take it for a test drive and that's when it happened. A rattling sound, it came from the driver side of the engine bay and it only happens when I turn the car on. I turned it off and back on to see if it was just something outside, but nope. What could this be  ?? Only happens when i turn the car on but nothing like it when I'm driving...

So is there any way to stop it?? Like replace one of the guides or the chain itself??

That's for the ka24de and I have a ka24e, but could it still be the same under the cover though??

Sorry if ^ is a noob question I don't want to mess it up since I use it as my DD when something else isn't available.

Ok well i really need this rattle to stop so instead of ordering the whole timing kit can someone tell what I need to replace?? I don't have the money to spend on the timing kit since I'm going to order the rebuild kit for the de next week or so. So will it be the guide or the tensioner or what??

well it could be the tensioner or the guide, take the valve cover off and get a flash light. Take alook at the guides. you might be able to see the plastic broken off or even missing. I suggest if you replace the timing chain assebly you also do the oil pump.

Well I'll take the cover off on Wednesday, its my day off of work. But if the guide's plastic is broken or messed up I'm only going to replace that one thing, Like I said I need to order the rebuild kit for the Ka24de.
