^^What SplitsenseM35 said^^ I too have that rattle/rasp at those RPM's and it's the Y-pipe. My guess is the issue is rust and corrosion.SplitsenseM35 wrote:Its the Y-Pipe that rattles. Common problem with Nissans. my altima also has the same problem as my M.
It occurs around 2,000 - 2,500 RPM?
I'm having the same issue. What exactly did you have to do to fix this? I've seen the previous comments but did you find a broken weld or was it something else?svard75 wrote:^^What SplitsenseM35 said^^ I too have that rattle/rasp at those RPM's and it's the Y-pipe. Every single nissan does this i still don't know why my m45 does it. It sounds like it's coming from the transmission but Idk for years I can't pin point itjenkintown wrote:Hello, I am looking for some information on what could be the problem. When I accelerate I hear a rattling vibration sound. It sounds like it is coming from underneath the car towards the front. I made sure I was using premium gas to rule out anything to do with cheap gas. The performance of the car seems to be the same. The noise is most evident when I step on it a little heavy. The car is a 2007 M35x, I have 68,000 miles on the car. I have had zero issues with the car so far.
Any information that you could provide would be appreciated.
Thanks!
