Do you have a CVT?

I notice sometimes when I travel at 20+ mph and press on the gas a little, just barely enough to accelerate above the speed I was traveling at my engine makes a deep like rumbling noise and kinda shakes the car. Its not really hard or anything, but I can notice it.

i have a cvt. idk exactly what it is but its outside the car maybe in the engine. i dont wanna speculate. but its annoying the heck outta me. its every time i hit the gas. the car itself doesnt shake its just a noise from outside. i really hear it when i drive next to a wall

Is it like a metal on metal sound or a raspy type of noise? Sounds like it might be an exhaust issue.

Id take a quick peek under the car and see if there are any heat shields hanging loose. I have had that happen in previous cars and you can just rip it off if its loose enough. Other than that have someone else get in and give the engine a couple revs and see if you can pinpoint where the sound is coming from.

Good luck.

I once took an old soup can and threw in a couple of old nuts and bolts in it and hid it in the engine compartment of my buddy's car. Drove him up the wall for weeks till I broke down and took it out cuz it was driving me crazy too.. :chuckle:
