rattling sound from exhaust G37

when car is in drive and the break is pressed, there is a rattling sound that comes from the exhaust. any idea what it is?

Take it in. They will fix it for you. There is a TSB for it. I think.

sounds like the heat shield

there is a tsb for this, it's not the heatshield making the noise,it's the muffler. Take it in and you will get a new muffler assembly out of the deal and this will take care of the annoying noise that you are hearing...

+1 on that sir, mine had the same problem and lots of them are having that issue. Just bring it in and they'll replace it for free.

Now you have OEM exhaust right?

u need to bring your car on any infiniti dealer ship for that concern there is a bulletin for exhaust muffler rattle noise on g37. but dont buy some service or flush flush they gonna off er hahaha.

Greetings, I'm having the same thing happening with my m35Sport and I had the same thing with my M35x. In the first instance with the X-model they replace the heat shield. Not with the sport the have replace the heat shiel and it's not fixed yet. But they are trying to tell me it's just how th car sound. BS......... $60000 and it sounds like s***. Can you tell me how to pull up that bulletin that you speak of. I have been trying and can't seem to pull it up because I may not be entering the correct criteria.

I am assuming it is the muffler but if it rattles and is not the muffler you may be hearing a normal sound caused by the catalytic converters. Depends on your definition of 'rattles'.

I have a G35 Coupe and when I drove over any bumps, it sounded like the heat shield or the exhuast was loose. It took the dealership and it took them an entire day to resolve the issue. It was the emergency parking break, they said it wasn't calibrated.. at this point as long as it sounded like my car was solid I wasn't gonna complain.....
