Timmy, if you can find my old posts, and follow them regarding my warranty issues, you will be reassured to know that you're not alone in the problems you are facing. I discovered the headliner issue in August, just 2 months after I bought my car and I discovered it the same way when that stupid clip dis-attached and started moving around in the sunroof area....they replaced it with a whole new headliner and a month later it starting sagging again, but this time it wasn't the clip. I've seen that Nissan used sticky velcro strips to keep the headliner in place around the sunroof area. I was appauled at the CHEAPNESS of their fit and finish.....After my cousin and I picked up his brand new G37 and drove back from NY to TO and inspected his interior; the Japanese have done such a superior job with the fit and finish than these American made Nissans.
I always regret that this car wasn't assembled in Japan like the Infiniti's. The Muranos, Rogues, 350z are all assembled in Japan too!! Yah in theory although there shouldn't be any "differences" in where the cars are assembled, there actually IS a difference. Quality control in America is $HIT compared to Japan ( I guess you'd only have to be a NON-American to even consider that a possibility, for those who don't) Believe it or not, but IMO, there is a big difference between the American workers and Japanese workers....I think the Japanese are more meticulous when it comes down to the assembly line. Reminds me of the old movie GUNG HO (1986 - Micheal Keaton)...lol.....neways man hope it works out for you. JUST MAKE SURE WHEN YOU GET THE NEW HEADLINER THAT IT ISN'T SAGGING FROM THE REAR DOME LIGHT. I had to go in twice after I got the new headliner installed and they had to use some kind of adhesive to make it stay firmly in place.
PS - Don't get me wrong folks, I'm not hating on Americans, I mean here in Canada; there are Acura CSX's (Canadian exclusive based on the EL) that are assembled in Alliston, Ontario and I'm not sure how well their quality is compared to say the TSX or TL from Japan.
How come the Altima is UNIQUE to North America and Middle East but it doesn't even sell in Japan??? ...
