Hi all,
Just put the summer wheels back on the coupe for this easter weekend. Started driving, and found that there is now a loud rattling noise every time I go over a bump/small unavoidable pothole/basic bumps while driving in New England.
If you creep really really slow, like having a lowered car and driving over a speedbump slow, there is no rattling to be heard.
Drive down the street at 30 and go over a bump or just something that will rattle like the pottholes that are just a topsheet of tar taken off by a plow, and it will rattle like crazy.
Needless to say, the car is off the road. I've lifted it back up and taken the wheel off and tried to see what is going on. Cant really see anthing broken down there (it was dark out by the time i started on it though). I'll take another look either tonight or tomorrow with the floodlights under there.
Anybody have a hypothesis as to what to look for? I hope i didnt blow out a shock when i dropped the car back onto the ground. I let it down slow after removing the jack stand as usual.
This all happened while I was doing my easter stuff this weekend so i was kind of drunk and didnt really wanna go under there and deal with taking apart the front end of my car... so i gave up kind of like
