I'm getting pissed of about this engine now. (because everything possible and impossible has done now)

I Have s14 sr20det (link below) and it has re-built engine, everything is new, only valves and crank shaft is old.

It has strange rattling noise @2500rpm... I try to get video or suondclip for you tomorrow. Noise is coming from head, I think :D

something information of the engine, Wiseco pistons, eagle rods, tomei 256/11.5mm cams, supertech valve springs and titanium retainers, acl bearings, ARP studs, GReddy head gasket everything else is oem parts, and new...

I've tried even other cams now, and engine has been in pieces now two times and everything is OK. even valves have been measured, those are equal length

Have you ever got faulty new rokcer arms, thats the last one I haven't tested yet...

If that does'nt help, I think I'm gonna use some dynamite...

2500RPM is about where the VTC kicks off. there was a thread a while back about this problem.

I have a small rattle in the head of my S14 when I touch the gas pedal and when I release it. Rattle only last a second. Do you think that has somthing to do with the VTC

do you have the timing hcain guide in the head installed? you k now, the thing that hovers overtop the timing chain? if so, take it off and see if that fixes it, i didnt even put mine back in.

Good call, I hadn't even thought of that. lol, I even had a similar problem on my KA and that fixed it.
