My car is 2012 Rogue AWD and currently 67K miles.
From 2 weeks ago, there is high frequency rattling noise from the rear side (maybe center of rear side). It doesn't matter with speed or RPM. In the parking lot, when I drove very slowly on the un-even road, the sound was getting bigger.
It seems like small piece of metal in the car is loosen in the back seat or trunk and vibrated.
As this sound is very clear in the car, I think this is the problem in the car (Not in the engine or bottom of the car; I mean that not the serious functional part)
I guess it is related to some part in Frame, not engine or brake.
Today I went dealer-shop and they couldn't find the issue in the car, but they checked the brake (they charged me $110 for checking) and told me I need to change left rear hub assembly and it will cost around $600.
1. When I google 'rattling noise' for Nissan, there are posts related to exhaust. But when I try to shake it by hand, I can't hear any sound. Is there any one who has similar problem?
2. Do you think 'left rear hub assembly' can be the problem? Current mileage is 67K. And can it make such a high frequent metal rattling sound?
3. Any good suggestion? After I realized the sound, it is very annoying and everyone in my car can hear the sound
