rattling noise frmo engine

alright, so i got this rattling noise comin from the engine. since the noise came up there has been no change in performance at all, but the noise is buggin the hell out of me. so i took a look , and it seems that the fan is hitting something because its chipped on every blade. but as i turned it manually it doesnt hit anything. the rattling noise sounds like some loose piece gettin knocked around, i know this is kinda vague but does anyone hv any ideas? thanks

ya the good old search button.. no offense.. can be many things.. need a lil more detail then that.. also what you drive is a good place to start

or maybe when the motor is moving around as you drive, it moves far enough for the fan to hit something.
