My alternator died and took my battery with it this weekend....

So, after hours of knuckle bashing and a whole lot of cursing I replaced it. God I hate FWD engine bays! Anyways...

I got everything running and seems to be good, but I now have a rattling noise coming from somewhere in the area of the alternator. I think it is my Tensioner pulley squeaking or rattling but it is tight so...has anyone had to grease or replace theirs for this reason?

i had to replace mine because of a shot bearing, it was making a metal-on-metal whining and some clicking/ticking noises. idk if the're regreasable - didn't even bother looking into that since i pulled mine at a yard for $15 ( with the bracket etc.).

just a thought...is the alternator pulley tight?
