Rattling muffler

What would you guys recommendIve got access to a tig welding machine and someone can help me do some welding - but hate to trouble him

The old catback i bought so i can have a 3" exhaust till i get more $ and have my sr20 running.

I got a JDM exhaust that a guy bottomed out on and ground a section of the pipe (small sectio 2x3") 1 foot away from the muffler. i got a stainless sheet that ive got a friend to weld and patch back up. Thats the easy part. But when last night i went to put it in my trunk i heard a rattle in the muffler and i think a baffle may have came loose - now my dilemma is do i cut and replace the muffler (all stainless) or do i cut the 3: pipe and see where the loose part is and maybe fish it outor do i cut a small section of the muffler and try to fix it.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated
