rattling heat shield

Hey guys,

My sister's 96 Pfinder has what I suspect to be a rattling heat shield and I'm not sure where exactly along the exhaust the heat shield is. And what's the process for tightening, how many bolts; things to look out for? If anybody has done this before and has any advice so I can get it done quickly and painlessly, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I've had one that was rattling before. I think it was my 88 Bronco II....anyway, I was able to wrap a long radiator hose clamp around it. Had another one where the bottom shield was loose, so I just cut it off. The top wasn't loose. With both of these applications, there were no bolts to tighten.....The shield was just welded at the corners. Hope that helps.
