i have a rattling sound coming from the front of my valve cover, i can hear it at idle and when i rev it, when i'm driving though it's less of a problem...i don't hear it that much at all....mostly at idle, and low rpm.

i've taken off my valve cover to replace the gasket and looked at the inside of the valve cover and there's no damage to it nor is there anything out of the ordinary...i keep wondering if it's the timing chain itself or is it a guide which seems to be the problem with most ka's.

i've had this problem for well over 6 months maybe even a year if i remember correctly.

it drives fine but it's a little slow from a dead stop.

mine did that and it was the exhaust side chain guide, look the see if half is broken off, also if u can move the guide around, its done for, and time for a rebuild

dude, pull your valve cover agian, and check how tight the chain is, this is my porblem, i am changing the timing set today, if this is it, then you could jump a tooth and jack your head up, mine used to do it at start up only, but now does it all the time
