I was curious if anyone has found any fixes to any of the following rattles I have been getting in my altima coupe 1)I have a little vibration when I am at very low RPM, and I know there was a thread that Nissan send out a letter about this(which I didnt get) but apparently its something with the heatshield. Has anyone gone to the dealer to have this fixed and did it work?

2) The dreaded passenger seat vibration...has anyone figured out a fix for this one as well?, can the dealer fix it?, ect ect.

3) Im getting a little rattling from my headliner, it seems like its coming from right above my sunvisor thing. Is this an indication that my headliner is bad like some have been and need to be replaced? Its nothing too noticable all the time, but I feel that I have a new car and it needs to be flawless.

Hopefully there wont be any more rattles I will have to deal with....thanks

Do you have the 2.5 or the 3.5???

I have had my car into Nissan numerous times for the vibration at idle and they said there is nothing wrong.

I would like to know about the letter from NIssan you are talking about.

I had a rattle in the headliner/sunvisor area... Which made itself apparent once I got my sub installed.

Turned out that it was my sunglasses in the sunglass holder thingy! Doh!

Besides that, I have a very quiet 2.5S, so I can't really relate to any of the rattles you mentioned :/

I found that moving the passenger seat forward stops the rattle coming from there. I haven't heard anything coming from the driver side seat.

I bought them from a guy here on the forum in the classifieds about 3 weeks ago. Check out the forum in the classifieds every once and awhile, and you can get lucky. Check ebay also, a day after I got mine someone on ebay posted some up $100 cheaper. Would have made me mad, but I still know I got a good deal on mine. click on the picture to see more pics of them.

The plastic piece on my moonroof was loose, and was rattling for a while. Had the dealer superglue it back on and the rattle went away. But now it's loose again......... cheap material.

The best way to keep it from rattling is simply to keep the sliding part of the moonroof (the part you can pull manually) closed tight, so that the plastic has nowhere to move.

I have/had the same problem. They want to replace the whole headliner. Apparentley they say re-gluing it will have no effect. It took them 4 months to get a headliner! I'm not sure I even want them to do it. They removed the plastic piece when I took it in originally and that made the noise go away. haha But of course now it's loose at that spot since that plastic piece is what wedges everything together.

They told me it's a ****ty design and that they've had to replace a ton of headliners on the 07 sedan. So it's not a Coupe only issue I'm guessing.
