rattles and squeaks

I have an 05 Murano and its full of rattles and squeaks. The portion of the sun visor that slides out rattles. There is a rattle right behind the radio and the dash rattles by the front left dash speaker. Does anyone else have this problem? Are these covered by warranty at all? Any help would be appreciated.

As long as you didn't cause the squeaks and rattles by beating your dash with a hammer, the are totally covered under the bumper to bumper warranty! Get it to the dealer!!!!

so is the visor. so I would have to agree that you should take it in ASAP. the sun visor is ~$300 a piece.

3year or 36000 or if you have extended warranty.there is a NTB for the sunvisors as well it is the clips that need to be replaced if they have then maybe the whole thing.

Steven - Did you ever take your Murano in for the rattles? If so what did they find to be the cause? I also have a 2005 Murano and recently it has developed a rattle which seems to be somewhere behind the radio or under or behind the dash on the driver side.

Rattles can be so annoying! Is your Murano still under warranty?

Timmbo - I think it is still under warranty. I bought it from Carmax and according to the vehicle history report it was first titled 06/20/2005 and the current mileage is under 30K. Is the start of the 3 year warranty when the vehicle is first titled?

Yes, I believe so, get it to the dealer and tell them the rattles and squeaks are driving you NUTS!

The rattles turned out to be sunvisor clips which were replaced under warranty. There is a service bulletin for this which is NTB03-081A

Thanks for the feedback kleiny! My wife had a rattle that was driving her nuts in her G35x for almost a month. Her boss was riding with her last week and found that it was her second pair of sunglasses in the overhead compartment causing the rattle. Problem solved! Sometimes it is the simplest things. Hope you continue to enjoy your Murano!
