Rattle..

I have a rattle noise coming from somewhere right in front of me in the dash or steering column. It only seems to happen when I drive over a slightly rough patch of road(Not bumpy, just not as smooth as the rest of the road). I have other dash noises like everyone else, of course, but this one really bugs me.

Anybody else have this problem?

I have same rattle problem like you described. But it only happens when the weather is cold (like from November to March here in San Jose, CA. Yeah, I know it is not very cold by many people's standard, don't flame me!! ). Now it does not make any noise anymore.

People reported taking apart the center console to install something and that got rid of the rattle. I have not done it as I am more likely to brake other things than fixing the rattle.

I'm not too far away from you and it does get pretty cold. My wife is Canadian and she even thinks its cold! I have to sometimes remind her of the skin freezing temperatures of her homeland.

My rattle sounds a lot like a loose screw.. I think I'll either mention it on my next service or just start taking things apart.
