Rattle near windshield defroster

Whats up fellas,

Any experiences with a rattle coming from the windshield defrost vent? Any idea how to take them off?

I've been wrestling with this for years. Even on the Y34, it's aggrivating. Apparently they do not just pull up and out as I have ripped out one of the slats trying to get it out.

Anyone??? I have the same issue and it bugs the S**t out of me...The only fix ive found, is to turn the music up lol

Have the same issue. It only happens when it is cold outside. The only fix I found is to turn on the front defroster.

I went to the dealer since I was under warranty for the same rattle issue, they told me it was my cowl where it's meets the windshield. They applied felt tape under the cowl and it's seemed to tone down the noise about 80%. Now I only hear it when hitting huge bumps or imperfections in the road. But I agree it's damn annoying and drives me crazy!
