i can't figure out where the rattling in the rear is coming from. i thought it was my exhaust so i replaced all the hangers but it didn't go away. then i thought it might be some bushings but these seem fine too. the rattle happens when i hit a pot hole or drive over washboard/bumps in pavement.

any ideas?

btw the struts are new blues.

May sound like a stupid guess, but what about something in the sare tire area in your trunk?? idk, that or it could be something in the rear deck housing the speakers. idk

thought about it but sounds like coming from under the car. like metal rattling.

my rear left speaker cover vibrates. its really annoying and im still deciding the best way to stop it.

you might just have to play around with the underside of your car if you think its comin from there.

it could be a heat shield. hmm you might just have to do like what D-maxima said and get under there and start seeing whats lose.

My 08 was making a similar rattling/squeaky sound when i went over bumps and potholes. After three trips to the service shop, it ended up being that there was too much slack on the emergency brake line and the line was hitting the housing it was in.

didn't think to check that, thx. i got the rear up on ramps and the axle and bushings seemed solid. i'll check the heatshield too.
