About a week or so ago, I straddled an exceptionally high manhole, because I didn't notice it in time to swerve or slow down. Well, two loud metal to metal bangs later, and my exhaust rattles.
It only does it at high rpms, and it sounds fine at idle. At lower rpms while driving, it sounds ok, but its not as deep and throaty as it once was.
Is this a real problem, or just a trivial annoyance?
btw, I already checked for fluid leaks after the run in with the manhole. Everything seems to be fine. I couldn't locate where it hit though. I don't really have access to a jack that i'd feel safe supporting the car while I get under it.
