I've got a pretty loud rattling from the front suspension or brakes as I go over rough pavement (kind of embarrasing). 93 Q45. If I apply very light pressure to the brake pedal it goes away. BTW, I have fairly new (4 mo.) pads (oem), rotors and hardware, anti-rattle clips. And my suspension is tight as can be. There does not seem to be any excessive play in the caliper slide bolts, such as any up or down play. I hate to guess and start throwing parts at it.

Can you recreate it in any way... Can you jack up the car and try to tell where its coming from...

I'm guessing the strut assemblies might need a rebuild with new struts/rubber. Maybe try retorquing the center nut down.

I've lifted the car and shook everything, I've replaced everything except kingpins and struts within the last year, so I'll check there. The only thing that makes me go "hmmmm...." is that it stops when i apply very light pressure to brake pedal (makes me think caliper slides/ bad hardware causing pad rattle, but its all pretty new and I've already inspected it all.) It's so hard to tell if front struts are shot, they arent leaking and the bounce test really doesn't work on the front of the Q. (so easy to tell when rears are gone).......maybe I'll have to remove them to see for sure.

You can access the top nuts by just removing the plastic caps on the strut towers.

the bolts are tight, guess I should probably just do the front struts, i did the rears about a year ago, so I'm probably due for them anyhow. Where can I buy a pair of front Blues from, every seller I've found online only sells all 4 or a rear set?
