Rattle and hissing sound

getting a rattle when in gear and not applying the gas, im thinking its the heat shield or the ?insulator casing? around the exhaust pipes, had the rattle in neutral the other day got out and could see the casing bouncing maybe the bolts are loose will check that out after she cools down

was also a sort of hissing sound coming from the back of the car near the wheels, sounded like it was coming from the caliper area kinda sounds like an idle static coming from speakers or a pressurized air coming out of a hose sound

any ideas?

the exhaust shield on the car is welded on and the welds sometimes rust through, in which case you just take the shield off, the shields on the pipes are bolted on and the bolts rust in half and then you have to take them off as well

the noise in the back might be the fuel pump or the abs soleniod, or maybe you are hearing an exhaust leak

do any of these shields need to be replaced, or can I leave them off? the shields on the pipes or the exhaust shield that is welded on?

most people just remove them, don't park on top of flamables and it won't be an issue

checked them out, its not my heat shields

rattle was gone for the most part a couple days now its back...
still same sound, like a peice of loose metal rattling when in gear and dropping speed, push on the gas and it goes away
sometimes hear it when pressing changing gears
