ratteling noise when the AC is on

it happens only when i turn on the AC, it comes from the engine compartment, i can clearly hear it when i park beside a wall, the rattle seems to happen due to vibration not the AC, sounds like a metal sound, any suggestions on what to check?

It could be the catalytic converter. I read that when they start to go out you can hear some rattling noise.
