Hello,

'97 240sx -

Looking to more a little more brake force to the rear. I know adding a valve to the lines would be the best way but for now just messing with simple stuff like tire pressures and suspension adjustments.

Will lowering / raising the front / rear of the car change how the brake force is applied?

Say if I wanted the weight of the car to shift so the front brakes didn't lock up so easily...would I raise or lower the front or rear of the car?

Thanks!

First of all, you should NEVER change tire pressure to change braking bias. In addition, changing the height of one end of the car will change the frictional forces at each end, but only slightly, and is also a very BAD idea if you are at all interested in good performance, or even looks.

That being said, you are now left with running different pads front and rear, swapping calipers, or running bigger rotors.

Keep in mind that the stock brake bias is pretty good. You NEVER want the rears to lock first in straight line braking.

Get some good pads on there, with no rotors, bed them in correctly, and rock out :D
