Hello Boys recently i clean the cooling circuit, before then, work just fine but it had too much rust inside so:

New oem water pump
New fan clutch
Change all water
New thermostat (not oem or nismo, but tested and work OK)
Clean the oem radiator

Now start the car, run nomal temp gauge 1/2 and few minutes later leave the engine idling and raise the temp very fast
but if push the gas the temp lows, but if stop raise again, and listen boil the water inside of the engine.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTsufpksOBA

The engine don,t heat water, don,t mix oil and water, but if i take off the cap drops water but if i push the gas,
sucks the rad. :gotme

So WTF is going on ??? i really blow the head gasket ???

Thanks for reading.

Looks like you've got air in the system. Don't know much about CA's, but my KA did that when I had air in the cooling system.

Have you tried bleeding it?

Yea, you've just got air in the system. Did you make sure you had the temperature slider indside set to full hot when you drained and filled it? If not, you've got a bunch of air trapped in the heater core that will take a while to get out. If you did, then let it cool off, and top it off again. Make sure the overflow reservoir is up where it's supposed to be as well.

I don't sure if i open the heater to refill it, i read over here that i must raise the front of the car a little to help
the air to get out of the sistem. Whats the best way to do it ?

This is what I do, works every single time:

Jack up the front of the car as high as you can.

Move the temp slider all the way to "HOT"

Open rad cap and take off the bleeder bolt.

SLOWLY fill it up with coolant. You'll see air start to escape.

Once it starts to flow out of the bleeder, put the bolt back in and tighten it.

Start car and slowly add more coolant as it drops. You'll notice a lot of air when the thermostat opens.

Rev the engine from 1500-2000, coolant should flow and drop slightly. Add more. Keep on doing this until it starts to overflow.

I guess the CA's don't have a bleeder bolt.

Just raise the front end of the car and leave the rad cap off, it should do the trick.

If possible, try leaving it up on stands for a longer period, maybe overnight.

I always just filled the radiator up with coolant, then squeeze the upper and lower radiator hoses until the air bubbes stop. I start and drive and repeat if necessary. I've never overheated from doing it this way.

Yes thats what i think, they don´t have a bleeder bolt, but i'll try again. It's a good idea leaving overnigth .
And yes i did the squeeze of hoses, don't see any bubbes, but i'm gonna do it again now.

Thanks, later tell you how its work...

Well the news... open the cap and all water was there all levels ok, the reservoir too.
I do the bleeding and run ther car few km, but all the same, exactly as the video, raise the temp and boil the water.
I'm just thinking maybe some rust rubbish put down in water line or conduit of the engine even in the radiator.
This saturday i'm gona put out all the hoses and tubes of water circuit and see whats happen.
what you think ?
Just in case i leave the nose up and without the cap or rad....

I´m in a rage for this bullshi....

BREAKING NEWS !!! as you know the problem remains, until this monday i disarm the radiator, as i suspected
iT was just fine, no sings of rust or anything strange, check all the hoses, all cool.
So i join all the stuff, put water SLOWLY (as i read in this forum) as let the air come out, fill the reservoir and ready...
Start, put nose up again (just in case), heat climate control open... just a little blubble come out (as always),
drove a few minutes, and... VOILA !!! problem resolved.

Thanks you guys for real ! (i keep in touch with more issues jeje !!! ) Luchitosan

I just had a similar problem today. Where is the temperature slider so I can get this air out?

Thanks,

Darian

OK, I see what you mean. My CA is a hybrid swap and I don't even have a heater. I guess I just have to try the radiator cap trick without that...

Thanks,

Darian
