Woo... dusty thread..

No updates on the car, mostly due to that I been away from home finsihing up my degree. I have one more semester and I will offically be a Mechanical Engineer. I recently got my certification for FE. So things are beginning to look up. Right now, I need to hold my finances until I find a job.

If anything, you guys should check out what I did my before spring break last semester. I had a tinkering twitch that I had to itch. (Link to my itching solution). Cliffs: I had to fix an exhaust leak on my truck to improve my mileage.

He did say on his site that he was going to be back to the Z sometime soon, I am hoping that's REALLY soon! :gapteeth:

Me too! I been itching to get rolling on this.

I also been reading several books to expand my knowledge and induce ideas.

I been toying the idea of phasing my injectors. In other words two injectors per cylinders, one in normal/stock placement medium sized good for low to mid range power, once duty cycle of the first reach a target value I can begin batching the second set of injectors located before each cylinder's throttlebody to help supply the hungry engine with fuel. This will help with the improve fuel atomization efficiency as compared to just sticking in really large injectors.

With this system I could build two fuel rail assemblies and have them go to separate tanks. This would be handy because I can use a lower octane for lower to mid rpms, and let the secondary injectors use the more expensive higher octane fuel. Such a simple system that it's tempting.

I once thought it be cool. But with street trim, I would never see the full potential of the car and take it to ludicrous speeds. Public streets can not offer that safely. And DoT tires are another.

RB26 comes with ITB's stock.

I just need to reroute the hoses that come from the balance tube, connected behind each cylinder behind each throttle plate, to the idle control assembly.

So you're sticking with the stock intake setup, with improvements I'm sure?
Wasn't sure of your plans in that area.

I am sticking with stock ITB's. The plenum is going to need to be constructed in order to house the second set of injectors that point in the face of each cylinder's runners. I been considering in buying a aftermarket chopping it up or I make a mock up in wood and foam and make a CF plenum.

Hmmmm the DIY one sounds fun, and you'd surely post it on your site so we could learn...
