Recently, I installed AEM short ram. After the installation, I had problem with startingEverything seems fine when I turn my key to ON position (Signal lights, headlight, stereo all fine)But all power cut once I turned the key to racking positionNothing happen (No cranking) but one loud "click" sound from engine compartment. (might be a relay)

Can anyone give me some advices?? Thanks in advance.

At first, I thought something wrong with the alarm start killer. But it would start even if I took away the alarm by removing the "brain" unit and reconnect the ignition starter wire.I tested the ECU, the code is 55 indicated all normal. (I learned it from FAQ. Thanks for everyone that put the FAQ together) I tried to look thru all the connection around the intake like plugs and clamps.

Should I tow it to dealer?? :help

Thanks for the tipsI double check twice, but still doesn't workAnyone encounter such a power cut b4??It seems quite rare coz everthing dead after I turn my keyI wonder if anyone know what sensor or reply would break the whole circuit of the electric system??I really like to narrow the area that I should check on coz I spent almost 15hrs just to take out and put back my alarm. I thought it was "start killer" b4. I figured it out that should not be coz "start killer" would cut the electricity to the whole car.Disconnect the battery for couple minutes can bring the power back to normal. I think It should be some kind of reply or circuit breaker.

BTW, anything I should aware for the sensors that plug into the intake??

Thanks

Check the battery terminal/wire connection. I had the INSIDE corrode while the outside looked fine. Headlights looked OK, radio worked, turn the key and NOTHING. Check the battery voltage when cranking, if it stays above 12 volts or so then the battery isn't under load from the starter. If it drops down under 8 or so then the battery is dead :)

Thanks for tips.I will try it as soon as I get home.

Sorry for the unclear and errors in the previou 2 messages.(Too tired after working under the steering)Every time you see "would" means "wouldn't".Just want to clarify, all power cut after the "click" sound. (No cranking at all). Nothing works until I unplug the battery (for couple minutes) and put them back on.

Thanks

I've had this happen several times, usually it is the Negative terminal on the battery being loose, or the ground not being tightened :)

Also if you have the factory alarm, it could be loose on it's connection to the positive terminal.

All of these have been problems on my car when it was a KA.

I just installed my own AEM short-ram intake the other day and had absolutely no problems.

This may seem kind of obvious, but in addition to double checking that your sensors are plugged in, make sure they're plugged in the right way. Also double check hoses and such, make sure you didn't knock anything else loose
