no its different. the one you posted honestly just looks like a standard old school changer controller. might have been made available to dealers through nissan for add-ons. the location of the cord leads me to believe that this will not integrate well at all.

dug through some pictures for confirmation. maybe we're talking about different mounting locations but you can see mine here:

i have a couple other angles and the wire does not come out of the bottom of the controller like yours. if it did you would see it.

I have the exact set up as you, that wire shown in the picture just connects to the harness that goes to the trunk for the CD changer.

Nice interior, but no offence but the sun roof is'nt a complete match for the car but cool non the less.

Does the sun roof have a shade?

I think you are both referring to the same thing, the wire goes down into the center console. One is installed, the other ins't.

Man if you still had it would buy the front mats from you, I have the same one exept mine are gray.

Is that the basic controller or the extended in the center console.

my oem sun roof isn't a match for my car? has a shade.

on the controller, it may be the same. i notice installed they have a frame around them which could hide the wire. honestly i wish i didn't have it or the cell phone dock. old, useless, and i really don't want to see whats under it when i take them out.

I have been told that the devil lives under there, and thats is where the Q derive its power.

But I will take it if you have no use for that stuff, I have no use for the phone as its no longer usefull.

It looks like you have a Glass sun roof in that picture.

This is just a pic I grabbed off ebay, to show how the "Sony controller" looks when installed.

Paulie, I love ya brother, but you're killin' me here.

There was no box. In fact, I was gonna throw the controller away. Consider it a gift that fell from the heavens... no instructions, no explanations, and I can't tell you anything more about it.

APS = Automatic Program Search. Much like "Indexing" will take you to the next "marked" spot within a track. Very few (if any) CD players have this anymore as so few (mainstream) CD's have anything other than tracks.

REV - Review, reverse or rewind ... takes you backwards

CUE - Old audio speak for Fast Forward or Forward

Pretty sure both of these only allow you to move entire tracks or second by second, but not both.

PGM escapes me at the moment, but if you google around, you might find more info.

Thank you all for posting, especially Hitman for the controller and Rex for the explanation.

Thanks again, Paul
