if they did just that, then a lense would be missing and it'd look nasty. The lense is entirely amber, they'd have to make a new one (thats white/clear) to go in it's place.nismofly wrote:the clear corner ones are stock, they just remove the amber from the housing...
thats why you have to ship them your lights
apparently you misunderstood what he said. They remove the color from the housing not the entire piece. all these tailights start life as a clear and are then painted or dyed red or amber. that is why clearcorners.com can do anylight you send them for any car.AsanBBoy wrote:

that is entirely not true. the plastic is yellow, they replace the entire piece.justmerging wrote:all these tailights start life as a clear and are then painted or dyed red or amber. that is why clearcorners.com can do anylight you send them for any car.
Actually, the ones you have the pic of are not that rare. I see them all the time, it's the kouki ones, ones that look like R32 tails, that are the pains to find.DETurbine wrote:I might be selling a pair of these tail lights and wanted to know if anyone would be interested in buying them. They are made in Japan and can only be found over in Japan and even over there are quite rare. They will be sold for $250 + shipping, just wondering if there would be anyone interested, before I start to get a few more.
well i never thought of them being dyed and then a way to reverse it to make them white/clear again. But surely the amber lense are not painted on our cars for sure.justmerging wrote:
