So the House has been looking into Charles Rangel's personal finances. Apparently he didn't disclose to income and has paid the IRS and the State of New York back taxes. They are looking into whether he used Congressional Stationary to raise money for the "Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service" and he using a House garage to store his 72 Mercedes. What I found humorous about this article in the Washington Post is this comment:
Washington Post wrote:http://www.washingtonpost.com/...etterRangel, 78, has said that he did nothing "morally wrong" and that, at worst, he could be accused of sloppy record-keeping.
Isn't that what Senator Ted Stevens (AK) claimed?

I still have flashbacks to the Stevens trial:Prosecutor "Why didn't you disclose this chair as a gift?"Stevens "Because it was donated to my foundation's library."Prosecutor "Where is your library?"Stevens "It hasn't been built yet"Prosecutor "So why is the chair in your office in your house?"Stevens "Where else do you want me to store it while my library is being built?"

Your Government hard at work...
