Range indicator fluctuating??

My wife just got a 2.5S Coupe and her range will show 230, then drop to 170 then go back up etc. Is this a common problem? Is it something the dealer can fix? Thanks!

Does it drop when you floor the pedal?? Because I think the computer calculates the range based on the current gas consumption.

Also sorry to be a jerk, but I didn't know that there is a G37 couple :p sorry.

welcome to the forums!

If its right off the showroom floor, it has low miles on it. It calculates on the fly as spock is saying. The more you drive, the less it will change.

He meant couple hes not retarted of course he knows theres a g37 coupe....its a couple him and his wife he has the g she has the A/C

And yes I already knew the G37 is a coupe, with exception of a convertible due out for release.

dont worry when i first got my car it ranged from like 17 to 25. After your first fill up reset the meters and itll put out a better reading

Sorry for the confusion, I think I fixed my profile. One G for me, one A/C for her. I tried to get her to buy the Murano, because I wanted the versatility and still wanted to drive a sweet car. No dice. She was coming off a Scion TC and wanted a coupe again until we have kids. Oh well, we both do have pretty sweet rides and we saved 57 bucks a month from what we were coming from!

Thanks for the input. Now I just have to see if she can live with it for awhile and see if it gets better.
