I have a 2016 Nissan Rogue SV AWD and i had the annoying squeeking noise that many people mentioned but nobody really figured out. It seems like the squeak happened more often under cold weather conditions and over certain bumps and was coming from the inside the cabin. Checked spare tire compartment, seats and nothing, until i decided to look for the jack and found the cause of the squeek! Jack storage compartment is located on the left side of your cargo area. Once you open it you will notice that the jack tool kit hangs on "rubber band" and is attached by the metal hook to the body panel. The problem is that everytime you hit a bump the tool kit moves up and down and the metal hook to metal body panel creates a squeaking sound. It also explains the squeaking happening more often during cold weather as rubber becomes less fexible, thefore adding to the issue. I relocated the hook attachment point and the annoying squeak is gone! I might move the whole tool kit for more permanent solution.

that is not my case, the squeeking noise most likely come from the panoramic roof in my 2015 rogue. yes, the squeak happened more often in winter but the noise gone when the panoramic tilted up.
And I did relocate the jack toolkit, noise still there.
I will bring my rogue back to dealer next winter, I can't duplicate the noise in the warn weather now.

I have a 2016 with the squeeking/chirping noise. Tomorrow will be my 3rd trip back to the dealer. I'm 100% positive it's coming from the panoramic roof. They lubricated it, supposedly tightened two screws and the noise is still there. Not happy.... I should not have to listen to this in a brand new car. I don't have time to keep going back to the dealership for the same problem. Won't buy another Nissan if they don't get it fixed very soon.

I have the squeak and I don't have a moonroof. I'll have to give this a try. Thanks for the tip!

They still have it. I told them don't bother calling me unless they're sure it's fixed. This is the third time it's been there.....

I had this squeak on driver side. I removed the seat held by 4 T bolts and two electric connectors. Unclipped the
seat fabric hooks and found four white clips that hold the seat springs to the rear tube and the white tabs that fit through
the front tube needed lube. I sprayed WD40 on them all and wiggled them around. Squeak is gone.
