So I bought this floor jack a day ago, and decided to jack up my car to take a look at whats under there (jack was like 55$ for 2.5 tons and a 19" lift) and to my surprise I saw the crappiest clutch line job I have ever set my eyes upon, the mechanics decided that instead of doing the correct thing and running the clutch line OVER the engine they ran it under! UNDER IT!!? it looks like it would rub on every freakin speed bump I could ever encounter! So my first ? is, neone got a spare rubber master to slave clutch line? Secondly, these highly proficient mechanics decide to get lazy and not bolt in a RED like 4 gauge cable and just leave it hanging offa the side of the transmission. So my 2nd ? is, what is this cable and where does it go. For clarification, it starts at the top of the transmission, near the shifter. PLease help me!

Ok, if I were you, I'd redo the clutch line completely if the hardline runs under the car. It's not hard to do, go buy some metal tubing of the same size, flange maker, you can cut the existing lines to get the bolts off and use those, all these can be found at your local parts store, get a tube bender also while your at it, also at your local parts store. As for the red line you are talking about, thats the ventalation line from your transmission, it's bolted to the top transmission bolt on the passenger side. Good luck trying to get at it with the transmission mount on.

What it does is if there's moisture inside your transmission, it'll have a place to vent out when your transmission gets hot and not go through seals and such. It's a good idea to keep the end at the highest part of the transmission which is why it's bolted to the top transmission bolt. If you are looking in the FSM, it should be in the manual transmission section.

just to make sure that we are talking about the same thing, the end that bolts to the top of the transmission is flat, and kinda long, with a hook on the end?

Yep, that's it, the metal hook has a flat peice with a hole welded to it, the bolt goes through that hole and when bolted to the transmission, the hook is in a upside down U form, the end of the hook faces down.
