random quick question

I just got a lexus es300 and i opened the oil cap and it just looks corroded. I dont think there is any water in it cuz its not milky or anything but in the oil filler spot it looked like a hard dark material built up. does anyone know what this is?

probably lack of maintenance/ late or rarely had oil changes

^ could be that. or you got the old saw dust in the oil to stop leaks.
