well, i have replaced my alternator, batterry, plugs(ngk),thermostat, water pump and fan clutch.all very recently, now i my starter wires are arcking(sometimes) that is being replaced anyway, but sometimes at start up or after a stop sign i will lose gobs of power and it will begin to missfire, but after somemore driving and hitting like 4k rpm it will fix itself and run normally but this is toottaly killing me, i already have an exhaust leak and when missfire happens it sounds like craaap, so should i replace my wires, cap and rototr and distributor and hope for the best?, i have only been driving the car for like a month and the plug end where it is white(supposed to be tan) tells me its running lean can somebody help?

I would start by checking your plugs and wires. Don't replace them till you have had a good look at them. How old is the fuel filter? Do you have any lights on your dash?

Did you say which engine this was?

Sounds to me like you answered your own question.

Air, Fuel or Spark on this one (and most problems). Check the FSM and trace down the problem from there.

okay guys problem solved for now, my starter wires were lose and tangled in another harness so i think that contributed, but i have a 1 week old z31 fuel filter, and i just replaced my plugs around that same time (ngk) but yesterday i replaced the wires (ngk) and the problem was in my #2 cylinder the rubber plug boot must have gotten stuck in the hole when my dad replaced the plugs so he put the wire back on without the boot i thnk that messed it up so, for now everything is cool
