non turbo 5 speed convertible

Just put in a japan direct motor in my 1994 Nissan 300zx and switched all sensors out an have had no other issues starting up the car other than the idle alittle high adjusted that out an now idles around 850rpm but surges to 1100rpm every now an then but the main issue is a random miss

my pallet motor had a randome miss, it turned otu to be a cracked valve seat, if you measure good compression but still have loss on a leakdown test then it's likely a valve or seat issue
