alright, i got the swap done, all hooked in, wirings been checked over and over. she turns over but doesnt catch. ive adjusted the timing and shes right on the brink of catching but she doesnt. now, i have a walbro 255 but still using the SR fuel filter that came with the engine(which i need to change out anyways). would that cause it to somehow not let her breathe life?

Yea, ground the spark plugs in the coil pack and have someone crank it while you look for spark. If you're getting fuel and spark, make sure you didn't flood the engine, if you did take out the spark plugs to allow it to evaporate over night. But try cranking it for spark but take out the fuel pump fuse for that time.

Did you check the heavythrottle? Usually if you know you have both fuel and spark, than it should fire up. Are your spark plugs wet?

well we tried startin up it was the same thing but the spark plugs were really grody and wet so we pulled the fuel pump fuse and get rid of it and we pickec up some new plugs. we fired it up and what not and the engine isnt getting flooded anymore. i know its a 90% of timing so as soon as i can afford it im going to pick up a valve cover gasket so we can check out the timing chain see if its missaligned.

The valve cover gasket is reusable, just rtv the half moon shapes that sit in front of both ends of the cams.

Make sure you follow the guide for timing, because sometimes you could be 180 off, make sure the 2 silver links are where they should be, 10 and 2, and that the mark on the pulley is second one from the left
