ok you guys, this meet is dying slowly we need to keep it alive so if anyone has a suggestion to better the meet please post up. i'm down to move the spot as long as its somewhere we can get permission to be because i dont want cops coming and telling us to leave. but if its dead again this wednesday we're either going to have to move the meet to a different location, different day, or just squash it. i dont want to squash it cuz it seems like a good thing but its just getting really slow. we need to keep it live.

I'll just add my two cents, we need a better location that has some lights and is not buried in the middle of nowhere so that a nissan person can just happen to see us and join in.Maybe start it up a little earlier,maybe its just me but 9-9:30 start is just a little late I think more like 8:00Its a good group just wrong location I think if a couple of us get together and talk to a few businesses and get permission to use their lot, maybe a starbucksor whatever,you all just need to make the meet more visible and it would grow. when I was in high school we held a meet in a circuit city parking lot and on saturday nights would have a turnout of over a hundred cars every saturday night. this was back in 1986 and was predominantly VW's right on Beach Blvd but the jist is the same thanks for listening to my rantdb CAR CRUISING IS NOT A CRIME!!

This depends on where you're at. I believe Sunset Blvd in Hollywood is one of the places where it is illegal to cruise.

The reason your meet fails is because you disregard people like me who had good suggestions. I've set up 2 small meets (under 10 cars) and been involved with 2 large meets (40-100 cars).

Meeting up at 8pm in the middle of a wet, cold winter is FAIL.

Why don't you try like 4pm on Saturday. Once you get enough people, then you can move it around. Also, if there is a point to the meet other than just parking and hanging out, that will help too.

Like have one of your meets at the drag strip or a car related store where discounts and installs are setup (Super Autobacs, Car Stereo shop...etc.).

when did anyone ever put down your suggestions? but anyways its only been cold and wet twice since the meet started thats not the reason it fails maybe it has been lately but its not the underlying reason. like i said i'll start looking for a new location but its hard when you dont have a car to drive so tomorrow it will be at the same spot. but i cant do 4pm on saturday because i go to church and sometimes i have to play drums for afternoon services and what not. i picked wed. because of my availability moving the day right now just wouldnt be good for me, but i dont really think the day is that much of a problem. people are available because we have had relatively good turn outs.

i went to the first one and haven't been back since unfortunatly but wed. isn't very good for me as i have early morning classes thursday's and am usually stuck doing stuff for them it's also a little farther than i care to drive for a meet every week. Fri. nights would be better i think as its the start of the weekend so people don't have school/work to get to the next day.

i finally fixed my exhaust leak(s) today pulling off my turbo, manifold, wastegate and dowpipe..that's how annoyed I was But my exhaust sounds clean now

so where was the leak? did you fix your rear main seal yet?

I think it was coming from the manifold, I had this pretty expensive gasket too So I took that gasket off and just use ultra copper gasket maker and it did the job

I've been driving my car around taking a look at that leak and honest to God it hasn't really gotten worse at all maybe it stopped but I'm not touching it til it starts leaking bad.

yeah i wouldnt if your not sure its the main seal. it would be just creating work for yourself.

I think I got a leak somewhere in my exhaust too, but I'm too lazy to fix it.Sounds like it's between the downpipe and the cat.Thank goodness it's not from the manifold. I'll probably take a look at it when I bleed my clutch fluid.

I'll also try to make it out to the next meet.
