Cruising home late last night about 85mph and noticed a sports car flying up an on ramp and was already going faster than me. Peeking my curiosity I touched the gas and got next to him as he changed lanes. We were side by side doing about 90mph, so I decided to punch it to see how my 95Q would do against the brand new coupe. We ran to about 130mph and I was slowly pulling away. We both shut it down and raced again from about 80 mph. This time I let him punch it first and I reacted to it, but the same thing happened I just slowly walked away. Nothing dramatic but pulled away none the less. I wasn't to surprised but I bet he was! The old Q just keeps on pullin!

I doubt I could take one from a dead stop. There six speed transmission is just to much for our tall first gear. Race from 20 on up any day.....beat a 350Z that way!

Be interesting to compare it to my M45 too. Having owned two Q45's in the past, I feel the M45 is way faster, but the true test is to run side by side! We ought to get together sometime ... I work on Winchester Boulevard near Steven's Creek ...

I was actually trying to buy a 2004 M45. Just drove it the other day. Your right, the M is faster....way faster off the line. I think the M would pull away from my Q just like I pulled away from the G, maybe a little more. If I get the chip like I want I think it could be a close call especially if you have to shift to 4th or 5th. I may take you up on that offer, would be a blast. I'm in San Rafael, 15 minutes north of SF.

We have to meet up someday for sure - time to organize a meet here in the Bay Area!
