i have a an '89 coupe with stock motor, and recently got a front strut tower bar. the bar is about 2.5-3 cm of clearance over the valve cover. i am planning on getting the sr20 swap soon, and was wondering if the valve cover is higher, lower or the same as my current motor. black top if there is any height diff. thanx for the help

it sits slightly higher but as long as you don't have an aftermarket (namely JWT) fuel rail, it ill clear just fine.

:( My STB won't clear the JWT fuel rail....anyone know who makes one that's a 1/4" or so higher?

That kinda sucks about the JWT rail. That's the one I was planning on one day getting.

yeah the JWT rail as you know is for top feed injectors so it has to sit higher. As far as I know, there is no company that makes a strut bar that can go over the JWT rail. Sorry guys... :(

I read a post about a month ago concering ppl interested in a new stb from whiteline. They wanted to know if anyone would buy it if they came out with it so maybe they can alter it a bit to adjust for the clearance issues?
