Hmm, I use Rain-x and I love it.. the first application doesn't really work so well, so I'd say try a reapplication. If you still have problems with it, most auto parts stores sell a product that "strips" glass.. it comes in a small bottle. Hope this helps!

did it work? and did you apply the rain-x right? I rain-xd my pathy and its been a good month or 2 and i still have no problems. The only prob is when my wipers ice up and streak like no other. But the rain-x treatment and the rain-x wipers really work well together.

I've been using rain-X for close to 15 years, and love the stuff. The secret on new windshields, or when you first start using it, is to re-apply within a week or two. You should definitely re-apply it after the first rain or two. After a few weeks or even months of repeated applications, it kind of embeds itself into the glass, and you can go forever without having to re-do it. I've gone months without applying it, and the effect is still there. In a nutshell, the first application tends to wear off pretty quick.Stick with it. You'll like it.The other thing I highly recommend is to also use it on the side and rear windows. When you're flying down the highway in the rain, the wind will literally blow the water off the side windows. Kinda neat actually. Also great for blowing off melting snow.
