This is the final test I am conducting on the new Toyo Proxes T1R Tires I just installed on my car. First of all, these tires are as good in the rain as they are on dry ground. I drove well beyond 80 miles per hour in heavy rain and puddles, and it was just a joy to drive. In fact, when I came home, I regretted ever having the Bridgestone Potenza RE00050A on my car, to begin with. And, i did this driving with the VDC-OFF. I wonder how much more better performace I would have gotten with the VDC-ON? I was so impressed. Other cars were moving like turtles while i was blasting through the rain. These tires are fantastic. However,, it takes a few days for you to begin to notice the grip and performance of the Toyos. The toyos can be a little noisy but that is about it.

Only good thing about the Bridgestones is the grip they have from day one. They are horrible in the rain.

The Toyo Proxes T1R is extremely intuitive tires. Its almost like it has a brain of its own. So, pay attention when making lane changes at high speeds. In fact, for a moment, less than 1 second, I felt the tires were moving faster than my clutch without my clutch slipping (maybe i was just hallucinating here).

The bridgestones feel heavy and unwilling to move. Time and time again, my clutch seemed to be moving faster than the tire. If the bridgestones lost grip, they would be as useless as ny other type of tire out there.

And then the Toyo's (much larger size) were much cheaper than the smaller sized OEM Bridgestones. This is my fianl assessment for now. Nest assessment will be on how the tire wears.

If you are getting pretty tired of it, then don't respond. Where I live everyone drives fast--well above the posted speed limit, and I am sure you doo go over the speed limit atimes. So, what's your problem? You feel you are safer than I, when I have a zero accident record? If you have nothing good to say, then don't say it. When I took my car to higher speeds, it was merely for a few seconds to see what happens with the new tires, and I made sure there were few or no cars around. You really feel i am that dumb, stupid, or what? And any changes i make to my car, i will test it out, and post it here for anyone who is unsure about the modification. So, don't be tired. This forum is for others to learn from what others have done.

So, tell me what is wrong with letting others know a good tire from a bad one? Are tires agents of safety or not? Do you think the info I posted about Toyo Proxes T1R tires will not make someone else safe? You are asking me to withold info that can actually save someone else's life. Are you aware that I have done the same test on Bridgestone Potenzas RE0050A and found them to be very dangerous in the rain, and so I have to let others know? Am I not saving a soul with that type of data? And how on earth do you think testing a tire on the track will give you the same feedback on the streets? Are you aware that tracks are designed and built differently than your regular roads? Do you beleive I will always go fast in the rain, especially I knowing that there are mediocre drivers out there?

Listen dude, I drive pretty safely and I keep my cars in tip top condition.

You are fighting a lost battle....Jacko calculates the risks involved in his high speed adventures including street racing before doing so.....therefore, it's OK!!!

Basically, I read the posts, shake my head and move on...... It 'says' that he's in FL, so actually we ARE safe!!

This is funny how everybody jumps on the band wagon about people driving fast.

Why exactly did you get a G35 if you aren't going to drive fast. Don't tell me you take it to the track because the only person here who actually races their G is Gwoods, and maybe one or two other people. Every 2nd thread on this forum is about "who is faster" or "how do i get more power?" And you don't open it up on the road once in a while? Give me a break. Just save your ignorant post.

If you don't like somebody else's post then move on. Do you think you make a difference in the world because you told a guy on the internet he is stupid for driving fast?

90% of people on the road drive like total idiots and endanger you and your families a lot more than some guy who actually knows what he is doing (to a degree) who decides to step on it once in a while.

Things are not black and white, there is a huge shade of gray in between and turning off vdc does not automatically put you in the black zone.
